SWANSEA, Wales (AP)—Swansea scored its first goals as a Premier League side Saturday to earn a 3-0 win over West Bromwich Albion and climb out of last place in the standings.
Swansea was boosted by the return of captain Garry Monk, making his first appearance of the season after a foot injury. The hosts’ early dominance was rewarded in the 14th minute as Paul Scharner’s clumsy tackle on Joe Allen led to a penalty that Sinclair coolly slotted to Foster’s left for the Welsh club’s first Premier League goal.
Swansea then extended its lead four minutes after the break when Dyer raced onto Lita’s flick-on and held off Nicky Shorey before firing between Foster’s legs.
