The Spanish coach does not underestimate the threat posed by the German champions on their home turf but is hopeful of picking up maximum points at the Westfalenstadion
The Greek giants are currently third in the group with three points from as many matches and have travelled to Germany to take on the defending Bundesliga champions at the Westfalenstadion.
Dortmund have collected just one point from their three games and need to win to maintain their hopes of qualifying for the last 16 of Europe’s premier club competition.
Valverde understands that it will not be easy for the Greek champions to pick up a win at Dortmund but insists that his team will play to do the double over Jurgen Klopp’s men following their 3-1 victory at home on Matchday Three.
“At our ground, BVB had two or three chances in the first five or six minutes and tomorrow we will have to play like that too, to create chances to win,” the Spaniard is quoted as saying by Uefa.com on Monday.
“I'll be rather concerned if they create more chances than they did last time around, but Dortmund didn't really have that many chances. And we are talking about BVB here – a side who are very good going forward.
“If we play badly, I will be happy with a draw. If we play well, I will not be pleased with a draw. Our goal for tomorrow is to play well and to win.”
Olympiacos are three points behind second-placed Olympique de Marseille, who are at leaders Arsenal also on Tuesday, and Valverde underlines the significance of a win in Dortmund for his side.
“Tomorrow is a very important match, for both teams,” he said. “The side that manage to impose their style on the match will win.
“Dortmund are a side who play with a lot of pace and we will try to keep up with them. If we succeed, it will be a very important win for us.
“We have hardly had any time to work on anything since our last league match, but tomorrow it's the Champions League so that makes it an entirely different matter anyway.”
Arsenal are the current leaders of Group F with seven points and will qualify for the round of 16 of the Champions League with a win against Marseille at the Emirates Stadium. - http://www.goal.com
