Stuttgart have been in excellent form as of late, and besides a 4-2 defeat away to Hannover, have remained undefeated since January, climbing up to second in the form table, and eighth in the Bundesliga with an excellent 5-0 drubbing of Hamburg last Saturday. The key to this impressive run has been the Swabians ability to score goals, with a whopping fifteen goals in their past five games alone.
Kaiserslautern have struggled to score goals this season, and their form has followed suit. The 18th placed club currently sit at the bottom of the Bundesliga scoring tables with a measly sixteen goals in twenty four games – almost half as many as their fellow battlers, Freiburg, Augsburg and Hertha Berlin who sit with thirty, twenty five and twenty six respectively. nIt doesn’t take a genius to figure out that a couple of goals would go a long way to solving Kaiserslautern’s problems, but were they would exactly come from continues to allude Marco Kurz.
