Borussia Dortmund starlet Mario Gotze has extended his stay at the Westfalenstadion, the German champions have revealed.BVB announced on their official website that the 19-year-old had signed a two-year contract extension that will see him stay at his hometown club until 2016.
"Everyone knows how comfortable I feel in Dortmund," Gotze said. The club are far from finished with their recent resurgence, he said, "And I want to be part of this development."Sporting director Michael Zorc was thrilled to announce the new deal for Gotze, who has in recent months attracted the interest of Arsenal and Manchester United, with BVB having turned down an offer in excess of €30 million from the Gunners last summer."We are very happy that we will take the next step with Mario in the future," Zorc said.Gotze first joined Dortmund at the age of nine.
