 SV Werder Bremen is a Germansports club best known for its association football team playing in Bremen,[in the northwest German federal state of the same name. Bremen also reached the final edition of the UEFA Cup in 2009, before it was rebranded as the UEFA Europa League, where they met Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk. Shakhtar won the final 2–1 in extra time.

 Ballspielverein Borussia (BVB) Dortmund is a German sports club based in Dortmund, North Rhine-Westphalia. Dortmund are best known as one of the most successful clubs in German football as well as the reigning Bundesliga champions.Borussia Dortmund have won 7 German football championships, 2 German Cups, a record-tying 4 German Supercups, 1 UEFA Champions League, 1 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup, and 1 Intercontinental Cup. Their UEFA Cup Winners' Cup win in 1966 made them the first German team to win a European title.Since 1974, Dortmund have played their home games at Signal Iduna Park. The stadium is the biggest stadium in Germany and the sixth biggest in Europe. Dortmund has a rivalry with Schalke, known as the Revierderby.
